Welcome to the Interfaith House Of Wellness. With humility, forgiveness, and patience we strive for self improvement. We believe ‘I’ is how. That's IHOW!
In IHOW we believe as individuals we do our best by treating ourselves and others with respect. We believe directing our focus on our own individual wellness is what is best on the whole. Recognizing we all have different gifts, we can see on the whole we are not better than others, and no worse. We work to create an environment free from ridicule and contempt for anyone. We believe we have more to learn. We work towards physical wellness, happiness, and good relations with others (these things are connected).
We gather professional opinions and proven concepts we can share to guide activities and wellness. Our passion for self improvement is born from experiences including successes dealing with physical disease and mental health issues. We aim to continually improve. We do this by learning and sharing methods for addressing the issues we seek to address. Lessons are shared in order to share useful examples. Lessons connect us with nature, our ancestors and the decisions they made. Through understanding our own nature, we strive to learn about and achieve wellness together.
Recently established (2024), we are a growing organization in members in the United States and India helping each other focus on continuous improvement. We have applied for grants, and we are developing prototypes of I-how activities so all may enjoy. About the canoes... Jill Wilson's Grandma Lulu told us, "Love many, trust few, always paddle your own canoe." :)
